Feeding Time

This past week was Brooklyn's first attempt at eating cereal! Her tongue played with it in her mouth and she'd take a few moments to try and figure out what the mushy stuff was, followed by some pretty funny faces! She did a great job and wasn't half as messy as Boston when he tried at that age- but she didn't eat half as much as him either! It's been getting better the last couple days- I'm just excited that now she'll have something to coat her stomach and not be as hungry during nights (bring on the sleep)!

Homer!

Boston got a t-ball / baseball stand for a new summer toy that can be played with outside. He loves hitting home runs (homers) and having the ball pitched to him. He's getting pretty good- I pitched the ball to him for a while and at one point he actually hit five in a row without anyone's help, not bad for a little guy! Maybe some day he'll make the pros!

Just Like Big Brother

Once in a while we'll let Brooklyn ride on the back of a toy with Boston - of course we're still holding onto her, but Boston feels so proud of himself for being such a nice big brother and letting her ride HIS toys! He especially finds it fun when she rides his dinosaur since it's one of his favorite things to do too- I guess she's following in his footsteps and soon we'll have a little cowgirl!

It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Boston!!

A couple weekends ago, cousins Clay & Madi came to Laramie for a visit! Boston was so excited to see them, he had a really fun time going to a parade and running around and playing with all his friends. This video is of him getting an airplane ride from Anna (an old neighbor of Luke & Jenny's), and falling over with Madi from being dizzy!

I honestly don't think he was really that dizzy, but it seemed like a lot of fun for him to be falling down again and again- especially since Madi was doing it too!

Cutting Grass

Boston got a NOISY lawn mower for his birthday last fall (thanks Lynnette!) and it's been an inside toy until summer came along and we can finally keep it outside! Boston loves to go outside every morning with Daddy and water the plants and help him cut the grass once a week. After following Daddy around the front yard, I think he gets a little tired by the time they get to the back! By then, he just stands and watches!! What a good sport :)

Brooklyn's bedtime stories

Monkey-ing Around

Overall we had a pretty good week! Not much going on, but we're enjoying the nice summer days- or at least the sunny mornings until the clouds roll in for the afternoon thunderstorms! Boston's anticipation for the Fourth of July fireworks was almost ruined- the show was on the verge of being cancelled from nasty weather- luckily it wasn't and we pulled him out of bed last night to see the show- he was so excited!!
