Part 5 - last one :)
At the end of July the kiddos had a lot of fun swimming at their cousin Alex's birthday party at the rec center.
Brooklyn relaxing and soaking up the rays!
Getting splashed & swimming with mama
Boston giving a smile to the camera and checking out what the other kids are doing :)
Later that night we took the kiddos to Cheyenne Frontier Days to see the carnival and go on some rides. They loved riding the carousel, choo choo train, and the big ferris wheel! (pictures still to come)

Part 4 - Family Reunion
We took a trip to Utah to visit family - the kiddos had loads of fun playing with all their cousins! I was pretty lucky to catch a photo of Boston and Brooklyn sitting together where they weren't picking on each other :)
Brooklyn convinced Megan to give her rides on the little tractor, but kept getting dumped out the back end!
Boston enjoyed riding the 4-wheeler with great-grandpa Jordan! He spent a lot of time on the 4-wheeler... even when it was parked he was pretending to drive it somewhere!
Brooklyn saying hello :)

Part 3 - Just Having Fun
The swimming pool was definitely a good investment this summer - the kids are really loving that they can escape the heat and play in the water whenever they want!
Brooklyn getting squirted by the dolphin
Boston posing for a picture on the slide
My mom plays the organ at church so of course she practices at home on her piano... with the help of two little pairs of hands!

Part 2 - Fourth of July
Every year there is a big celebration at the park for the 4th of July, so we took the kiddos and spent the afternoon strolling around, having a picnic, and enjoying tunes played by local bands.
Brooklyn hung out in the stroller - and Boston played on the fire engines!
Boston also got to meet the "Jubilee Days" Rodeo Princesses - he just wanted to sit on a horse next to some "cute girls" - but got shy and wouldn't even smile for the picture!
Cousins Clay and Madi were in town for the weekend too, so we had a pool party at grandma Lynda's house for all the kids. We probably told Alex to pull his shorts up 100 times, but he was just more comfortable with his bum hanging out!
I'm not sure whether Boston and Alex are hugging because they got in trouble and had to say they were sorry... or if they're trying to dunk each other in the water! :)
Little Brooklyn shivering on the outside of the pool
All the kids grabbed a blanket and cuddled up by grandma's patio door to watch the fireworks display
They had a sleepover on the living room floor - but ended up on grandma's bed the next morning :)

Catching up - Part 1
Lately I've been having a rough time finding time in the day to update the blog, so here's my attempt at catching up on a few things! Sadly, it's from the end of June and the entire month of July - it makes me feel pretty lazy :)
I found some cute 'cowboy' fabric and decided to make some pajamas for boston (not pictured) which he was so excited to wear while I was sewing them- once I finished, I'm pretty sure he's only worn them one time:) On the other hand, my mom found some other 'cowboy' fabric and made him an awesome western shirt that he would probably wear every day if I'd let him. It goes perfect with the bent cowboy hat! :)
Chris' family was in town for a wedding toward the end of June- Boston was so excited to see his cousin Colter! He calls him "Toto" since he couldn't really pronounce his name when he was younger- but Brooklyn has caught on and now he's stuck with being called "cousin Toto"
Boston was pretty much Toto's shadow the entire weekend, but he really enjoyed spending so much time with his cousin and doing "boy" things like playing swords!
