Smarty Pants

We took the kiddos on an educational fun day to the 'Denver Museum of Nature & Science.' We knew we might have been pushing our luck trying to get their interest in all the different displays, but surprisingly the kiddos couldn't get enough!

Boston really enjoyed the North American Animals exhibit - he was pretty sure the top wolf in the picture was looking right at him :)

Next to the Elk exhibit was a button that when pushed sounded out the elk's bugle call - Brooklyn kept pushing the button to hear the noises, we probably spent ten minutes standing there!

Watch out for that moose!

The kiddos have been asking me a lot of questions about the Earth & Moon lately, so I was really glad there was an exhibit that covered all areas of outer space to answer their questions. The kiddos enjoyed learning about galaxies, stars, the solar system, and even got to dress up in mini astronaut clothes!

Another cool exhibit was the Haida & Tlingit Indian tribes. Chris' family is part Alaskan-Indian from those specific tribes, so it was special to get some pics of the kiddos with different pieces of their heritage.

Brooklyn thought the 'totem pole men' were really tall!

There was also a Health exhibit that measured basic things about each person's body who walked into the area and gave info about height, weight, arm span, walking stride, and even took a picture of a person and showed age progression up to 75years. Boston enjoyed pretending to be Spiderman & climbing on the rock wall :)

Brooklyn was more excited about the giant pins that took the shape of whatever pushed on them. I don't know what they're called, but I remember playing with smaller versions when I was a kid and having it mold your hands or face - Brooklyn took it upon herself to make the pins mold her entire body!

It was a GREAT day! I would highly recommend it :)
